Due to the unrivalled range of simulators at our training centres across the globe, your role will be incredibly varied, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide range of the most modern simulators, systems, and equipment to enhance your technical knowledge. We’re continually looking to foster an environment of learning, development, and progression. Your tasks: Identifying, finding and solving problems in complex flight simulation systems. Checks updates and bug fixes at subsystem level with the test engineer/-pilot. Support for the integration of data, updates, software and hardware and exchange of various assemblies. Calibration of instruments. Switching the systems on and off incl. function test. Detailed fault analysis and rectification or repair of the source of the fault/components. Learn and perform preventive maintenance tasks on the simulators and associated simulator systems. Assist in diagnosing and correcting problems on the simulators and associated simulator systems. Utilize maintenance management system to record and track maintenance activities. Perform pre-flight and post-flight on designated simulators. Perform basic visual alignments. Assist with refurbishment and hardware modifications. Perform administrative tasks as required. About you: Ideally you will either hold a technical degree or 3 years or more work experience in an electronic, avionic, or technical field as a technician or in a similar role. Extensive expertise in electrical engineering. Knowledge of avionics is welcome, but not required. Computer literate (PC and/or computer mainframe/architecture). Some experience in soldering and circuit board repairs preferred. Some knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and suite. Practical, analytical mindset with great troubleshooting skills.
