A Day in the Life of a PLC Technician (Automation)
As a PLC Technician (Automation), you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Performing routine maintenance tasks on PLC-controlled equipment, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing parts as needed.
• Troubleshooting complex issues with PLC programming and hardware, working closely with cross-functional teams to resolve problems efficiently.
• Collaborating with engineers and other technicians to develop and implement new PLC programs and improve existing ones.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs and reports, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in automation technology, attending training sessions and workshops as necessary to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in PLC programming, installation, and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of automation principles, including PLC programming languages and control systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for extended periods, with occasional bending and twisting required.
