Functional Safety EngineerWe’re partnering with a leading research center in Pisa that’s looking to expand their functional safety team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the design, analysis, and safety assessment of software across both automotive and digital energy domains.What You'll Be Doing:Innovating and enhancing functional safety solutions for real-time embedded software.Contributing to the design and validation of software safety concepts and architectures.Conducting safety analyses and ensuring compliance with ISO26262 and IEC 61508 standards.Managing safety plans and ensuring implementation of safety processes and activities.Building relationships with universities and research institutions to stay ahead of industry trends.What We’re Looking For:M.Sc. in Engineering/Computer Science (PhD preferred).Significant experience in safety project management with knowledge of ISO26262.Experience with safety analysis methods (HARA, FMEA, FTA) and embedded software development (C, Assembly).Strong understanding of microcontroller architecture and safety-critical ECU design.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong team-working attitude.Fluent in English and willing to travel within Europe and China.Nice-to-Have:Experience with AUTOSAR, A-SPICE, IEC 61508, or VHDL.Familiarity with model-based tools, POSIX-based RTOS, or automotive safety-critical applications.If you are ready to take on a new challenge and work on innovative projects that shape the future of digital energy and automotive technologies, we’d love to hear from you.
