MISSION
Drive the strategic development of Maserati’s dealer network in the assigned area of responsibility (market/country), aligning with the company’s future business aspirations and corporate profitability goals. Lead the regional implementation of network strategies to ensure an optimized, high-performing dealer network that supports business growth and enhances partner profitability.
Ensure effective network representation in key areas, including ownership, facilities, and capital, while fostering continuous improvement in dealer performance and managing change effectively. Safeguard compliance with company standards and policies, ensuring both new and existing dealers meet Maserati’s requirements for excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
* Develop and oversee the implementation of the retail and service network strategy, ensuring alignment with Maserati’s business goals.
* Monitor, prepare, and analyze action plans to ensure adequate network capacity and coverage for sales and after-sales operations.
* Create a localized network development strategy to support long-term business objectives (5-10 year strategic outlook) and develop optimization plans for each market within the region, securing owner/principal buy-in and assessing financial capabilities.
* Enhance dealer network capability by implementing dealer standards and variable margin strategies to promote positive actions and behaviors, including CI (Corporate Identity) implementation and BIC (Best-in-Class) practices.
* Manage network profitability and ensure Dealer Capital Profitability (DCP) quality standards are met. Oversee dealer network management, including new partner acquisition, onboarding of new partners, and termination of existing partnerships when necessary.
* Continuously monitor retail network operations and identify areas requiring corrective actions to ensure optimal performance.
* Analyze dealer performance by market and location within the region, using business management tools to recommend and implement improvement activities.
* Act as the key facilitator for the annual business planning process, developing templates, tracking progress, and ensuring timely completion.
* Measure overall network performance, identify improvement opportunities, and address at-risk dealers/importers in collaboration with Sales, Aftersales, and Training teams to enhance retailer profitability and performance.
* Maintain and manage an up-to-date distributor database, develop a framework for regular network reviews, and coordinate input for these reviews. Identify and assess candidates for new markets (un-franchised or non-exclusive) through a robust evaluation process, including the development of comprehensive 5-year business plans.
* Oversee new market start-ups by establishing and monitoring the achievement of key milestones, such as facilities, staffing, training, systems, finance, marketing, and launch planning.
* Supervise dealer facility projects and conduct annual CI Dealer Standards audits, working closely with retailer architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with corporate branding requirements.
* Prepare and manage Network Committee Meetings, ensuring all relevant materials and insights are organized and presented effectively.
REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive network development, sales, or a related role, with a strong track record of managing dealer networks and driving measurable performance improvements. Previous experience with luxury automotive brands is highly preferred.
* Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data, develop strategic plans, and implement initiatives that optimize network performance and profitability.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with proven success in managing and fostering strong relationships with business partners.
* Extensive knowledge of dealer standards, network planning, partner acquisition, and variable margins strategy to enhance network profitability and compliance.
* Proven ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects, including dealer onboarding, facility development, business planning, and market launch execution.
* Proficiency in CRM tools, sales management software, and analytics platforms to monitor and optimize network performance.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the capability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective corrective actions.
* Excellent presentation and reporting skills, with experience preparing insights and proposals for senior management and stakeholders.
* Fluency in English and French is mandatory; additional language skills are a plus.
