Senior FSR has experience in technical support of complex U.S. military ground systems. Maintenance support includes operations, system troubleshooting, engineering, design, installation, analysis, maintenance and repair of U.S. systems and subsystems to component level. Effectively applies industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Research, plan, design and develop new applications for mechanical equipment and systems.
* Review contractor's standards, specifications and other documentation to determine mechanical engineering requirements.
* Design or review simple mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, ventilation and/or instrumentation systems using analytical and investigative methods and techniques to ensure systems meet required specifications.
* Gather and correlate basic data and perform routine engineering research and development assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests in order to develop new applications or upgrade existing hardware.
* Guide and assist technicians in fabrication and installation of simple mechanical, related equipment, routine systems in order to ensure conformance of product and systems with engineering design and customer specifications.
Required Qualifications:
* A Minimum of 12 years of Qualified Mechanic Experience which include 4 years working on MRAP vehicles.
* Proficient with a variety of hand tools, diagnostic tools, power tools, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and welding.
* Demonstrated experience in the application of industry or military standard troubleshooting procedures to localize and isolate faulty system components.
* Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems.
* Experience in technical support of complex U.S. military ground systems.
* Experience with office productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Desired Qualifications:
* Prior training or maintenance experience on MRAP FOV systems.
* Preferably familiar or knowledgeable with MRAP/RCV systems.
* Ability to meet the government deployment physical requirements.
* Willingness to travel to various OCONUS locations.
* Some OCONUS deployments may be to hostile ("war zone") environments with additional Per Diem and Hazardous Duty Pay.
Security Clearance Requirements:
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a (DoD) Public Trust clearance.
Physical Requirements:
* Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch and kneel.
* Must be able to work in high noise areas.
* Must be able to lift 50lbs.
* Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Word and Excel.
