Job Description
The position is responsible for developing and deploying communications to promote the GXO brand through all communications channels in Italy and Switzerland.
He/she will develop and implement the local communications plan, in close collaboration with the business and European counterparts. The candidate will also support pan-European communication campaigns.
Responsibilities
* Develop and execute an external communications plan for Italy and Switzerland to build brand awareness among key stakeholders.
Leadership Visibility
* Provide strategic and tactical counsel and support to designated business stakeholders to foster their visibility with media and on social media channels;
* Identify speaking opportunities and develop associated messages and presentations for key spokespeople at events, exhibitions and roundtables.
Content creation
* Develop content (press releases, by-lines, case studies, social media posts, videos, photos) in close collaboration with the corporate team, to be amplified across earned, paid and owned media;
* Source stories from the countries for distribution via press releases, media alerts, social media and corporate website;
* Review translations for marketing materials and corporate website updates (translations, reviews, updates).
Media relations
* Develop and nurture relationships with national and local press for positive coverage as well as managing reputational issues;
* Identify key trade / vertical press publications and build relationships to raise awareness and coverage;
* Key areas of focus: Technology, ESG, Employer of Choice.
Reputation / crisis management
* Manage reputational issues, in close coordination with the corporate communications team
* Draft reactive statements, talking points, Q&A;
* Develop and execute an internal communication plan to inform, align and inspire our team members, including:
1. Leadership communication (provide strategic support regarding messaging and cadence of leadership communications; provide tactical counsel on internal updates (Workplace posts, emails, videos);
2. Implementation of global and pan-European campaigns;
3. Interaction with European and Global Marketing team;
4. Best practice sharing via newsletter and/or digital tools.
Required skills
* Education and/or Experience Requirements and/or Experience Requirements;
* 3-5 years marketing and communications experience, it's considered a plus within a service company or 3PL;
* Fluent in English and Italian, with a preferable knowledge of French;
* Presents organized and thorough information and data appropriate for intended audiences;
* Demonstrates skills to deal effectively with individuals and groups within and outside the organization;
* Leverages creative approaches to effectively communicate with diverse employees
* Maintains strict confidentiality;
* Communicates well with leadership, team members and other departments;
