We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager to lead the prestigious Relais Sant'Uffizio, a charming property nestled in the heart of Monferrato, Piedmont. Currently a 4-star relais, Sant'Uffizio will undergo a significant renovation this winter, transforming it into a magnificent 5-star destination. The revitalized hotel will offer a luxurious experience focused on relaxation and well-being, featuring an exclusive spa and the acclaimed gourmet restaurant "Locanda Sant'Uffizio Enrico Bartolini," boasting a Michelin Star. Blending historical charm with world-class amenities, Sant'Uffizio will cater to a discerning international clientele.
About the Role:
The General Manager will be responsible for the overall leadership and success of Relais Sant'Uffizio, overseeing all aspects of operations and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional guest experience. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of a landmark property as it transitions to a 5-star status.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all hotel operations, coordinating and developing activities across departments to achieve corporate objectives.
* Serve as the primary point of contact for guests, cultivating strong relationships and professionally addressing any concerns.
* Ensure adherence to operational standards and the consistent execution of activities in all departments, in accordance with operational manuals.
* Oversee the operational efficiency of the property, proactively addressing daily challenges.
* Participate in the development of the annual budget and continuously monitor performance against objectives.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and accident prevention regulations, overseeing the maintenance of facilities and equipment.
* Represent the company during inspections and audits by authorities.
* Guarantee the consistent delivery of exceptional service standards.
* Oversee the management and maintenance of the property and corporate assets.
* Plan and coordinate seasonal closure works, presenting the annual plan to headquarters.
* Manage the procurement of goods and services in line with corporate procedures.
* Oversee Human Resources management, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Supervise department heads, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration.
* Personally manage the welcome and experience of VIP guests, providing personalized and attentive service.
* Effectively handle emergency situations and resolve critical issues, both in back-of-house and guest-facing areas.
Qualifications:
* Excellent command of English; knowledge of a second language is highly desirable.
* Proven experience as a General Manager or Hotel Manager in a 5-star leisure property.
* Comprehensive understanding of international hospitality standards.
* Strong business acumen with a results-oriented approach.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities, including motivation and coaching skills.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
* Impeccable professional appearance and attention to detail.
Compensation:
A competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience, will be offered. This is a permanent contract.
