The company is looking for an operating system engineer to enlarge its development team. In this role, you will be a versatile software engineer focusing on the design and development of low level drivers and mechanisms.You will join a dynamic and highly collaborative team of experts and PhDs passionate about research projects and innovative solutions in the automotive and embedded systems domains.Please note you must have the Right to Work in the EU / already be based in Italy to be considered.ResponsibilitiesDesign and optimize RTOS kernel components and device drivers for industrial domains.Perform low level performance analysis and optimization for CPUs, GPUs and other hardware components in embedded systems.Required SkillsExcellent knowledge of the C and/or C++ programming language.Experience with programming on POSIX operating systems (e.g., Linux).Knowledge about real-time and concurrent parallel programming.Experience in programming real-time operating systems (RTOS) and device drivers.Expertise in low-level performance analysis and optimizations for embedded systems.Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and networks.Knowledge about concepts of computer architectures, including memory protection mechanisms (i.e., MPU and MMU) and address virtualization.Excellent collaboration and communication skills with good initiative and self-organization skills.Fluency in English and ability to work in a multicultural environment.Desired SkillsKnowledge of the energy domain including PV and ESS systems.Experience in programming ARM or RISC-V processors.Knowledge of safety concepts (e.g., ISO26262, IEC61508, MISRA C, code coverage, etc.).Experience with hardware debuggers (e.g., Lauterbach, JLink, etc.).Knowledge of the AUTOSAR Classic standard and development tools.Experience in the implementation of unit tests and execution of test automation scripts through e.g., CUnit, Googletest.If this sounds interesting and you'd like to learn more, click the link below to apply or email me with a copy of your resume at lh@eu-recruit.com.By applying to this role, you understand that we may collect your personal data and store and process it on our systems.
