We are looking for a Production Technician to join our team and contribute to the production of cutting-edge photonic modules developed by our engineers.
You will play a key role in assembling and characterizing optical and electronic setups. You will follow the calibration and testing cycle of our advanced photonic products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of reliability and performance. You will also be responsible for identifying production issues and procuring lab equipment. As part of a dynamic, cross-functional team, you will also improve our tools, processes, and products, proactively seeking innovative ways to enhance how we work and build world-class solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Handle the production of photonic-based products
Assemble and characterize optical and electronic setups in lab
Analyse data, diagnose, test, and control quality issues effectively
Collaborate closely with engineers to refine and automate production processes and improve system reliability
Work closely with the team to oversee the supply chain and manage component inventory
Work with suppliers to procure lab equipment to enhance the production workflow
Requirements
Core competencies
A high school diploma or higher, with a focus on technical subjects
2-3 years of experience in a similar role
Meticulous, with a love for order and precision, to expertly assemble and characterize electronic setups, calibrate products and analyse data
Familiarity with optical instrumentation and fiber handling
A proactive, detail-oriented approach with solid problem-solving skills
Strong commitment to diligently following industry standards and safety procedures
Must be self-motivated and have a good teamwork spirit
Good knowledge of English for effective communication and documentation
The following skills are desirable to facilitate integration into the team:
Experience with Python for scripting, instrument control, and data analysis.
General knowledge of photonics, integrated photonics, and optical networks.
Desirable side competences
We value knowledge in the following fields as side competencies:
3D Design of mechanical parts with an understanding of fabrication processes and tolerances.
