GV-Novara Ind Op Country: Italy City: Novara, via Giuseppe Belletti 4/D Contract Type: Regular Department: Production Experience Required: 5 Years Mode: Hybrid Your Opportunity: As Finished Product Costing Specialist, within our Novara site, you will work closely with the Production Manager, product development teams, and purchasing managers to support the negotiation process and the finished product costs estimation process. Your Contribution: The main objective of the role is to support the company in defining the costs of ready-to-wear finished products through a series of actions: During the initial collection development and design process, analyze target costs, identify possible critical issues in advance, and support the product development offices to correctly address the material, product, and sourcing strategies; With the ongoing collection development through an estimate of future product costs (pre-costing) to focus in advance on possible critical issues or inefficiencies with respect to the company objectives and identify any alternative solutions with due advance notice; During the costing phase, for products developed in outsourcing, support the product and production offices to analytically evaluate the quotations received from suppliers and make the negotiation process more efficient and focused; During the costing phase, for products developed in internal atelier, support the production and costing offices to estimate future production costs based on an estimate of manufacturing times and on experience with similar products; After the presentation of the collection, analytically evaluate the margin results achieved with respect to the targets and begin to identify with the production office further opportunities to explore during the production process. Your Skills: Having worked in sourcing or procurement office, having gained experience on product costs; At least 5 years of experience in production analysis, pre-costing, or a similar role, ideally within the textile industry; Knowledge of the cost components of the finished ready-to-wear product; Ability to correctly read a cost sheet and a bill of materials for ready-to-wear products; The ability to estimate product manufacturing times is a preferred requirement that can facilitate the performance of the job; Possibly proficiency in PLM tools, cost analysis, and production management systems; Detail-oriented, rigorous, team player with excellent communication skills for interacting with various internal and external stakeholders; Proficiency in Italian and English is an asset for communication with international subcontractors.
