Help Help Requirements Incumbent must satisfactorily complete all child care background check requirements in accordance with DoDI 1402.05, to include Navy Installation Records Checks (IRC's) and a Child Care Tier 1 investigation. Must pass a pre-employment medical examination and be able to sustain long periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and driving. Ability to lift, pull, push and carry up to 45 pounds and occasionally move heavier items. Eligible candidates must possess: No-Fee Passport, Sponsor's Orders or Command-sponsorship authorization, and sojourner's permit/application letter. Hours of work will vary as required by the needs of the program. Incumbent may be required to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and on special events. Must possess and maintain a valid and current US driver's license to drive a government vehicle in the performance of duties. Male candidates born after December 31, 1959, and at least 18 years of age, are required to certify that they have registered with the Selective Service System (Attach proof of registration). Will be required to obtain Emergency First Responder or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certificate, Customer Service Training within the first 90 days of employment. Qualifications One (1) year of general experience or two (2) years of education above high school. General experience: progressively responsible clerical/office. Skills Qualified candidates will also be rated and ranked by the following Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) to determine order of referral: Knowledge of front desk library operations that include library circulations. Knowledge of technology devices and software applications. Skill in providing excellent customer service. Skill in the use of technology devices and software applications to include Microsoft Office applications. Skill in typing. Skill in reading comprehension and basic math. Skill in public speaking. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing. Education Applicants who do not have one year of general work experience may qualify based on two years of education above the high school level in any field for which high school graduation or equivalent is the normal prerequisite.
