Posting Details Posting Number: 20244191S Position Title: Student Recruitment Specialist Position Type: Staff Location: Villanova, PA Recruitment Type: Internal/External Applicants Work Schedule: part-time/10-months Avg Hours Week: 20 Department: 232-Nursing Position Summary: Reporting to the Director of Recruitment, the Student Recruitment Specialist in the M. Louise Fitzpatrick College of Nursing is responsible for student recruitment for the Nursing Second Degree Accelerated Tracks, Graduate, and Certificate Programs. Collaborating with the Director of Recruitment and college administrators, the Student Recruitment Specialist is responsible for generating and assessing prospective candidate leads and building relationships that span the enrollment pipeline, from inquiry to registration. This individual supports the coordination of the development and execution of all local, regional, and some national recruitment activities across event types. Duties and Responsibilities Recruitment Activities In collaboration with the Director of Recruitment, plans and coordinates the development and execution of all recruitment activities with attention to diversity, equity and inclusion with the explicit goal of increasing program enrollment. Assists with coordinating, conducting, and representing the college at various events such as: Open Houses, Information Sessions, Career Fairs, Early Action Day, Admitted Students’ Day, hospital events, etc. for the Baccalaureate, Master’s, Doctoral, and Continuing Education programs. Participates in internal and external recruitment efforts by building and maintaining relationships with current nurses, healthcare administrators and HR departments, community agencies, industry, professional organizations, and other colleges and universities. Works with volunteer student nursing ambassadors to support lead generation and recruitment activities. Lead Generation Responds to inquiries from prospective applicants and builds relationships with leads from point of inquiry to point of application utilizing technology to effectively manage the process. Assesses qualifications for internal transfer and second-degree students and counsels prospective students on college program offerings and outcomes for some nursing programs. Monitors competitor schools and implements strategies to expand the College’s visibility to increase the applicant pipeline, particularly for Second-Degree and Graduate Nursing Programs. Interfaces with prospective students and their families to provide tours of the simulation labs and Driscoll Hall, and engages annually at larger Office of Undergraduate Admission events. Marketing Works with the college’s communications and marketing team to develop information materials used for program recruitment and marketing. Monitors industry trends to formulate marketing and recruitment strategies. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Minimum three years’ relevant professional experience Experience using strong analytical skills and quantifying results Experience planning, coordinating, and executing events and managing projects and deadlines Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with public speaking and making professional presentations, particularly targeted and compelling marketing messages Demonstrated ability to establish effective relationships with various constituents and collaborate with others to achieve outcomes Must demonstrate initiative and a growth mindset to learn about and articulate information about nursing education Proficiency with web-enabled technologies Working knowledge of nursing education and healthcare Must be proficient in all standard computer applications, including Microsoft Office products, particularly, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook. Must demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of the Fitzpatrick College of Nursing and Villanova University and serving the needs of a diverse community Must be able to work a flexible schedule to support recruiting events. Travel for recruitment events (locally and regionally) is required. Must have the ability to carry recruitment materials (20-30lbs), standing for extended periods of time, and mobility to provide campus tours Must have unrestricted access to a reliable vehicle as well as a valid state driver’s license and a clean driving record Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree in related field Registered Nurse Recruitment experience as a nurse recruiter Experience in recruitment at an institution of higher education Experience in admissions at an institution of higher education Experience with application management systems Familiarity with Ellucian/ BANNER and SLATE systems College Board and Advanced Placement exam knowledge Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours Carrying recruitment materials (20-30lbs), standing for extended periods of time, and mobility to provide tours.
