The College is seeking as a part-time replacement for absent staff an inspirational educator to join our dynamic and innovative team for a two-year cover position for: – IBDP History from 15 August 2025 to 31 May 2027 – Part-Time. Successful applicants are likely to be suitably qualified professionals with a subject-specific undergraduate degree and preferably a teaching qualification be passionate, engaged, and mission-driven individuals who have a values-based approach to preparing young people from diverse cultures and backgrounds to become tomorrow’s ethical change-makers willing to work with students to build a strong commitment towards affecting peace in the world and to develop the skills necessary to make this possible be committed to the experiential education model which lies at the heart of the UWC educational programme, where learning is inquiry and concept based, and lessons are student-centred possess the ability to adapt personal teaching style to students from a diverse range of educational systems and cultures have the ability to support ELL across all subject areas – (students range from B1 – C2 CEFR level English at Diploma level), and to differentiate learning experiences – students range from having studied IB before to having had disrupted education, so ability to differentiate and deal with very mixed ability classes is vital integrate Theory of Knowledge into their professional practice (training and support will also be provided by the College) supervise Extended Essays in at least two subject areas actively promote, support and participate in the co-curricular learning programme ensuring students engage with the UWC Mission inside and outside of the classroom be actively engaged in the pastoral life of the College understand that the wisdom, patience and the reassuring presence of the educator are essential for the students’ success and growth in a UWC education model play an active role in creating and promoting a culture of safety and safeguarding at the College be committed to developing their professional knowledge and skills thrive in an environment which can be both challenging and enormously rewarding How to apply If you are a suitably qualified educator with energy, enthusiasm and a willingness to wholeheartedly embrace the exciting challenge of being an educator at UWC Adriatic, then we would welcome an application from you.
