Job Description – Marketing and Communication Specialist Italy and SwitzerlandThe position is responsible for developing and deploying communications to promote the GXO brand through all communications channels in Italy and Switzerland.He/she will develop and implement the local communications plan, in close collaboration with the business and European counterparts. The candidate will also support pan-European communication campaigns.ResponsibilitiesDevelop, own and implement the external and internal communication plan for Italy and Switzerland in collaboration with business partners, including the market Managing Director, Business Development, Human Resources and the European and global Communication teams.Develop and execute an external communications plan for Italy and Switzerland to build brand awareness among key stakeholders:Leadership VisibilityProvide strategic and tactical counsel and support to designated business stakeholders to foster their visibility with media and on social media channelsIdentify speaking opportunities and develop associated messages and presentations for key spokespeople at events, exhibitions and roundtablesContent creationDevelop content (press releases, by-lines, case studies, social media posts, videos, photos) in close collaboration with the corporate team, to be amplified across earned, paid and owned mediaSource stories from the countries for distribution via press releases, media alerts, social media and corporate websiteReview translations for marketing materials and corporate website updates (translations, reviews, updates)Media relationsDevelop and nurture relationships with national and local press for positive coverage as well as managing reputational issuesIdentify key trade / vertical press publications and build relationships to raise awareness and coverageKey areas of focus: Technology, ESG, Employer of ChoiceReputation / crisis managementManage reputational issues, in close coordination with the corporate communications teamDraft reactive statements, talking points, QADevelop and execute an internal communication plan to inform, align and inspire our team members, including:Leadership communicationProvide strategic support regarding messaging and cadence of leadership communicationsProvide tactical counsel on internal updates (Workplace posts, emails, videos)Implementation of global and pan-European campaignsInteraction with European and Global Marketing teamBest practice sharing via newsletter and/or digital toolsRequired skillsCommunication SkillsWrites clearly and informatively.
