The Role To support our growth, we are looking for a Production Planning Manager who is passionate about manufacturing and driven by continuous improvement. You will be responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing processes, ensuring that production flows smoothly and efficiently while meeting delivery deadlines, cost targets, and quality standards. As a Production Planning Manager, you will work within our Production Department, reporting to senior management and collaborating closely with: Production and assembly teams Purchasing, Engineering, and Sales departments External suppliers and other stakeholders What You Will Be Doing Your key responsibilities will focus primarily on production planning, cross-functional coordination, and process improvement. a) Production Planning Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity, and resource availability Define and track KPIs related to production efficiency, lead times, and inventory levels Collaborate with other colleagues to assess material needs, manage inventory, and align with supplier capabilities Optimize resource allocation to balance priorities, capacity, and constraints Anticipate and resolve planning conflicts, bottlenecks, and delays b) Cross-functional Coordination & Process Monitoring Align production planning with execution by collaborating with production and assembly teams Ensure timely procurement of materials through coordination with Purchasing Monitor performance against production plans to ensure delivery and quality targets are met Analyze production data to identify trends, forecast needs, and support informed decision-making Share insights and updates through clear, data-driven reports for stakeholders Identify opportunities to improve planning efficiency and production performance Build data-driven business cases and present improvement proposals to management Lead or support cross-functional initiatives focused on planning and process optimization Experience and Qualifications Required: Minimum 10 years of experience in production planning or roles combining planning and production management Proven background in structured manufacturing environments with strong planning systems and processes Strong ability to design, manage, and improve planning frameworks Excellent knowledge of planning principles, tools, and performance metrics Analytical mindset with confidence in working with data, KPIs, and reports Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems Degree in Engineering, preferably Management Engineering or related field Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively across functions and levels Pragmatic and results-oriented, comfortable in complex, fast-paced environments Fluency in Italian Preferred: Fluency in English What We Offer Competitive salary package A challenging role in a dynamic and flexible environment The benefits of a small company with a global presence: gain cross-functional exposure and broad skill development A culture of learning and contribution: work alongside experienced professionals and shape the direction of the Production Department A fast-paced, ambitious environment where your work has real impact on our growth and our customers worldwide Location: our office and plant in Pontida (BG), Italy will be your primary workplace We welcome every qualified candidate with the legal right to work in Italy.
