JOB TITLE & JOB CODE Train Performance Manager (TPM) PURPOSE OF THE JOB Leads the Train System’s Technical Development & Validation throughout the development cycle and lifecycle of projects. Ensures train performances fulfil customer & regulatory requirements and is the main focal point to the customer for train performance & functionality topics. Is accountable for Train Reliability, for LCC target achievement, for Cybersecurity, for Validation and Engineering contribution to Certification & Authorization. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Acts as main technical focal point for the customer for train performance topics, and leads the train system development and validation (operability analysis, system definition and architecture, performances, functions). The main activities to be performed by the TPM are the following: ensure conversion of customer and regulatory requirements into train level requirements & specifications; lead operational analysis and development of a consistent set of train level requirements according to the Alstom standards; lead functional analysis, and verify that the specifications and architectures at train and system levels are satisfying the input requirements. For this, the TPM leads the requirements specification and allocation to sub-system level, including electrical & functional interfaces definition. He provides support to System Engineers and ensures that Sub-Systems’ design is converging toward specified targets along project life cycle convergence, including during the verification and validation activities. During train revenue service, the TPM leads the technical open issues resolution in line with project strategy, from investigation to modification implementation and problem closure. MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Master of engineering or equivalent from educational degree, completed with experience. Extensive knowledge of products, projects, systems, Metier process and company background (More than 5 years in Railways engineering). Business English fluent. Customer oriented. Strong skills on technical management. Ability to switch between problem perspective to solution perspective. Ability to lead a project team. Ability to challenge and to be challenged. Ability to foster communications between multiple stakeholders/metiers. Ability for analysis, problem-solving and efficient decision-making in complex environment. Readiness to travel.
