We are looking for a dedicated IT Support Specialist to support our team in Milan (plus other remote locations) for a fixed term contract for 1 year.

We work on a hybrid basis with 3 days in the office 2 days WFH.
What you will do:
* Ensure 1st Line End-User Support for IT and Facilities based systems
* Field incoming requests to the Service Desk via both telephone and e-mail to ensure courteous, timely and effective resolution of end user issues and reinforce SLAs to manage end-user expectations
* Record, track and document the service desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution
* Support users on Microsoft Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook packages, mail system (Exchange) and on shared file system
* Support corporate phone system (VoIP) and independent mobile telecoms users
* Management of IT hardware (Desktop/ThinClient/Laptop etc.) in accordance with relevant policies
* Maintain an inventory of all IT equipment
* If necessary, liaise with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
* Act as an escalation point for advanced or difficult help requests
* Prioritise and schedule problems. Escalate problem (when required) to the appropriately experienced technician, or EMEA IT Service Delivery Manager
* Access software updates, drivers, knowledge bases, and FAQ resources on the Internet/Intranet to aid in problem resolution
* Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications
* Install anti-virus software and ensure virus definitions are up-to-date.
* Perform preventative maintenance, including checking and cleaning of workstations, printers, and peripherals - including checking servers
* Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved
* Liaise with, and provide training and support to, end users and staff on computer operation and other issues
* Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation software & hardware, networked peripheral devices, and networking software & hardware products
* Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex PC problems for a variety of end users, and recommend and implement corrective hardware solutions, including off-site repair as needed
What we ask for:
* Good communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical people
* Deep knowledge of Windows environment (Ideally holding MS certifications)
* Understanding of Networking principles is an advantage
* Knowledge of Microsoft Azure is beneficial
* Must be capable of answering user queries and solving 1st line support problems
* Fluent in English and Italian written and verbal
