We are looking for a dedicated Lean Project Management Specialist to join our Quality, Safety & Environment team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating Lean initiatives, training team members, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of Lean principles and Agile methodologies, as well as the ability to coach and mentor teams at all levels. Proficiency in both Italian and English is mandatory, and knowledge of Spanish is preferred. The position will oversee projects in four countries: Italy, Portugal, Spain, and Andorra.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate Development of VSMs and Kaizen Workshops: Lead the development of Value Stream Maps (VSMs) and Kaizen workshops within your area of responsibility, as requested.
2. Training in Lean Principles and Tools: Provide comprehensive training to team members on Lean principles and tools, ensuring they are well-equipped to implement these practices effectively.
3. Coaching on Lean Practices: Offer ongoing coaching to ensure the proper use of Lean principles and tools, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Facilitate Rapid Continuous Improvement Events: Organize and coach Rapid Continuous Improvement events (Kaizen) to drive quick and effective changes.
5. Training and Awareness Building: Develop and deliver training programs to build awareness and understanding of Lean practices across the organization.
6. Organize Process Excellence Community Events: Help organize events to share best practices and promote process excellence within the business.
7. Manage Training Infrastructure: Assist in managing the process excellence training infrastructure, including the creation and maintenance of presentation materials.
8. Assess Organizational Change Readiness: Evaluate the organization's readiness for change, develop an implementation roadmap to scale Agile practices to the enterprise level, and use Agile methods to drive transformation.
9. Promote Agile Best Practices: Work independently or as part of a team to promote Agile best practices throughout the organization.
Qualifications:
10. Proven experience in Lean coaching and Agile methodologies.
11. Strong knowledge of Lean principles, tools, and techniques.
12. Excellent training and coaching skills.
13. Ability to lead and facilitate workshops and improvement events.
14. Strong organizational and communication skills.
15. Experience in managing training programs and materials.
16. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
17. Experience in assessing organizational readiness for change and developing implementation roadmaps.
18. Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
19. Relevant degree such as Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Business/Administration, Operations Management, Technical, Manufacturing, Education, Management, or History.
20. Proficiency in Italian and English is mandatory; knowledge of Spanish is preferred.
Skills:
21. Understanding of the DMAIC process.
22. Proficiency in Kaizen and data analysis.
23. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and techniques.
24. Strong grasp of Lean concepts, principles, and tools.
25. Knowledge of statistical process control concepts.
26. Understanding of Lean Management and the software development lifecycle.
Desired Experience:
27. Assist the Portfolio Management team in portfolio backlog creation and grooming.
28. Train and coach product owners with the creation of portfolio-level Epics and Features, performing continuous prioritization/grooming of both portfolio and program backlogs.
29. Assist in Agile Release Planning.
30. Develop and enable Product Managers as Business Content Authority Experts for the release trains, by facilitating Release Train readiness reviews, backlog grooming activities, and Inspect and Adapt (I&A) workshops.
31. Implement relevant Scaled Agile Framework metrics at the team, program, and portfolio levels.
32. Mentor and assist the coaching staff in helping the teams with effective backlog grooming, sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, capturing retrospective results with an eye on process and practice improvement.
