San Clemente Palace is looking for a Purchasing Manager, in Venice.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Manager at San Clemente Palace Venice. The Purchasing Manager will be responsible for coordinate and manage all operations of the Purchasing, Receiving and Storeroom.
Qualifications
* Knowledge of supply chain management and procurement processes
* Experience in vendor negotiation and contract management
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other procurement software
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
* Knowledge of related purchasing software
* Closing invoices
* Certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is a plus
Objectives
To safeguard the financial integrity and stability of the hotel and minimize any exposure to potential risks. To ensure that all departments of the hotel have adequate supplies to perform their duties. To continuously research and find new and alternative products to improve the operation and reduce costs.
Responsibilities
* Following and understanding all hotels policies & procedures.
* Behaving in a professional and harmonious manner and following the code of conduct.
* Maintaining a good relationship with business partners.
* Keeping up to date with latest trends and products.
* Working together with the Chef in order to obtain the best products and prices available; reviewing market list and offers daily.
* Ensuring that competitive bidding is taking place and that business is awarded fairly and ethically.
* Monitoring slow moving and dead stock as well as keeping the stock levels in accordance with operational needs.
* Ensuring that all deliveries and issues are documented and processed correctly.
* Ensuring that communication is taking place with all departments in regards to matters that would in any way affect the operation.
* Ensuring that all areas are secure, organized and clean.
* Supervising, training and motivating the Purchasing department staff.
* Hiring, disciplinary actions, evaluations, scheduling, etc.
* Performing any additional duties assigned by the controller and assisting in other areas of Finance as needed.
* Communicating with Financial Controller on any discrepancies or other potential problems.
