YOUR TEAM
You would be working in a multicultural and multi-disciplinary group, where electronics, mechanical, and software engineers collaborate, each with their own expertise, to carry out common research. The Humanoid Sensing and Perception research line ( seeks to appoint a full-time Robotics Software Engineer to develop AI algorithms for natural language processing, perception, and robot control.
Within the team, your main responsibilities will be:
* Develop algorithms that allow the robot to detect humans in the environment and interact with them using natural language processing;
* Develop algorithms for navigation in dynamical environments, taking into consideration the behavior of humans;
* Develop methods for designing and executing robot tasks;
* Participate in the field test and experimental validation.
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU SHINE
* A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related disciplines;
* Strong motivation to work with real robotic systems;
* Good knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++, Java, Python;
* Good communication skills and ability to cooperate within a team;
* Good command in spoken and written English.
EXTRA AWESOME
* A PhD in robotics, Computer Vision, or Machine Learning;
* Previous experience working on real robotic systems;
* Knowledge of C++ and development tools (e.g., CMake and GIT);
* Knowledge of Large Language Models (such as GPT4, LLAMA, GEMINI), including prompt engineering, models refinement, and API integration;
* Knowledge of open-source robotics software, simulators (e.g., Gazebo), and middleware (e.g., ROS/ROS2/YARP);
* Knowledge of Deep Learning frameworks (e.g., Pytorch or others);
* Knowledge of Robot Navigation frameworks (e.g., Nav2);
* Strong problem-solving attitude;
* High motivation to learn;
* Spirit of innovation and creativity;
* Good in time and priority management;
* Ability to work in a challenging and international environment;
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a highly interdisciplinary environment.
