Stellantis’s Software Organization (SWX) was created to build the most captivating experiences in the latest frontier of Automotive Technology. As a Diagnostic Expert Engineer, you will be responsible for defining the in-vehicle diagnostics protocol infrastructure that will enable the new Centralized and Service Oriented End-to-End EE Architecture. This role will provide in-vehicle Diagnostics requirements for the development of the new platform that will cover almost 80% of the Stellantis 14 Brands portfolio. Along with the team you will work, you will drive key decisions on Ethernet and CAN based network diagnostics protocols. The key deliverable is to launch a world leading hardware platform product that exceeds all current and future technology challenges in the drive to achieve a truly software defined Vehicle.
We are looking for a Expert Engineer with a background in advanced in-vehicle Diagnostics protocols to deliver state-of-the-art EE platforms that will enable the Stellantis SW Strategy, optimize solutions, and allow Hardware evolution decoupled from Software with an Agile approach.
Responsibilities:
Define and own in-vehicle Diagnostics requirements and standards for implementation in electrical and electronics units on the new Stellantis vehicle platform. Design new solutions and produce technical specifications related to the in-vehicle diagnostics features. Execute workshops with SW teams and Tier1/2 to define the most robust and cost-effective technical solutions. Actively contribute to problem analysis and solution. Relentlessly drive to early life cycle delivery through an agile approach. Develop a culture of collaboration, diversity and inclusion. Willing to take action and drive results.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering. 4+ years of Automotive industry experience with a Tier1, Tier2, OEM in technical roles (System engineering, Software Architectures, Software Development). Solid experience with UDS protocol, Diagnostic protocols, DoIP, OTA and Firmware reprogramming technologies. Very good knowledge of AutoSAR Classic and Adaptative. Demonstrated experience with Automotive Network Communication technologies: Ethernet, CAN, CAN-FD, LVDS and LIN in-vehicle protocols. Knowledge of Vector tools especially with CANdela Studio, Prevision and DaVinci tools. Experience with requirement management tools (e.G. DOORS). Experience to work in a complex and international environment cooperating with autonomy with the functional departments and 3rd parties, driving when needed all parties to converge to the target. Exhibits excellent, clear, and detail-oriented written and verbal communications on highly complex topics tailoring the reporting according with audience. Capable to think at high system level and define at detailed technical level. Fluency in English is required, any other European language is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of vehicle E/E architectures and the related development cycle. Experience with Automotive ECU embedded systems troubleshooting. Knowledge of Linux embedded systems. Experience with SW development processes (better if A-Spice oriented). Experience working with SAFe/Agile teams and methodologies.
