Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for the execution of the Manufacturing activities in compliance with the Manufacturing routing, HSE, and Quality.
As a Shop/Plant Turning Operator, your key responsibilities include:
* Executing machining activities related to Baker Hughes products, particularly regarding horizontal turning activities
* Checking the final quality of the activities as indicated by the Manufacturing routing by filling the inspection plan
* Housekeeping of the workstation and vouchering worked hours applicable to the Manufacturing activity assigned
* Participating in continuous improvement through project proposals
* Following the shopfloor policy related to the working shift, lunch break, and Personal Protective Equipment use
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Be a good team player and a proactive self-starter that is accountable and exhibits ownership
* Demonstrate experience as a machining turning operator
* Be able to interpret technical drawings
* Show ability in interpreting technical documents and procedures
* Have experience with manual and numerical controlled machines
* Be able to report safety, quality, and routing issues to the supervisor
* Be fluent in Italian (written and spoken)
* Hold a EU work permit
* Be flexible with working patterns and shift rotations, including nights
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work and is willing to learn and grow with us.
You should have a strong understanding of mechanical principles and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
A high school degree in technical matters and + 5 years of experience in turning activities would be an advantage.
Additionally, knowledge of NDE processes and machining tool kits would be beneficial.
