Abstract
The activity will take place within the Research and Development Area and will involve analysing the resources of an embedded measurement instrument.
The embedded measuring instrument to be monitored must meet stringent requirements in terms of time by having predefined processing resources.
It is planned to develop an application external to the measuring instrument (an application for Windows personal computers) which, by taking information from the instrument itself, is able to understand in real-life cases whether the instrument has adequate resources to work optimally and what the limits of the instrument are.
Both standard quantities of processing systems (e.g. free/occupied RAM memory) and quantities peculiar to processing systems with real time requirements are to be observed.
Profile
The research is aimed at an electronics/informatics or computer science graduate who would like to join a young, close-knit working environment.
In addition to a very good general knowledge of the basic subjects of the engineering or computer science degree course, the following are to be preferred
* Knowledge of the programming languages used in current developments: C language and C++ language
* Willingness to study other languages should the need arise
* Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems
* Ability to work in a team and by objectives
* Knowledge of the fundamentals of computer networks
* Familiarity with the use of computer programmes
* Possession of practical and organisational skills
