Role description
Between now and 2026, the newcleo roadmap provides for the deployment of several R&D projects and a precursor with the aim of launching the deployment of the LFR-AS-030 and then the commercial series of the LFR-As-200.
As part of this project, we need to strengthen our BIM team on the R&D and precursor projects, and we are looking for a BIM coordinator. This person will be responsible for BIM coordination on the project, as well as assisting the BIM Project Manager on a day-to-day basis.
Main activities
The BIM Coordinator is responsible for applying the instructions, methodologies, requirements and expectations, as well as the specifications provided by the BIM Manager. They report to the BIM Manager.
He ensures that his production teams apply the BIM execution plan correctly. They are responsible for developments and work methodologies specific to BIM coordination under cover of the BIM Manager.
BIM coordinators are responsible for:
* Organizing and verifying the work of operational teams on different projects.
* BIM coordination and management of BIM project data sets/workflows in agreement with BIM manager.
* Monitoring of BIM standards within the project.
* Developing, using and maintaining Dynamo scripts to serve workflows.
* Understand BIM standards and guidelines at the enterprise level. Make sure the models follow all internal standards.
* Attend BIM meetings to share knowledge, best practices.
* Identify ways to help staff become more efficient in projects through customization, scripting, and other automations.
* Designing the templates for BIM projects, both for the design and for the construction, operation, or maintenance of a building.
* General knowledge of the operational functions of the BIM Authoring and Code & Model Checking software.
Desired qualifications
* In possession of an appropriate degree (Civil Engineering or Architect) or specific formation in BIM.
* 2 Years of experience as BIM Coordinator in complex projects.
* 2 Years of working experience with Revit as the primary tool.
* Knowledge of BIM software, particularly (Revit, Navisworks, Recap, Solibri, Solidworks (is a plus)).
* Ability to analyze clash detection and verify business standard applications.
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
* A good general knowledge of construction and facilities engineering. Nuclear is a plus.
* Computer/office skills (MS Excel, MS, Word, MS Powerpoint, SharePoint).
* Computer skills in 3D/BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Recap, Solibri, Solidworks (is a plus)).
* A willingness to make suggestions.
* An aptitude for developing methodologies.
* Interest in the energy / nuclear industry.
* Good analytical and summarising skills, strong writing skills.
* Curiosity, autonomy and good interpersonal skills.
* Working knowledge of English is a must.
* Fluent Italian, French is a plus.
