Project Manager - Onshore Wind/PV Leap29 is partnering with an Italian client specialising in overseeing the entire development process of renewable energy projects, from origination to management and construction. Their impressive portfolio includes a range of wind, photovoltaic, biomass, hydroelectric, and BESS projects. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Project Manager to oversee the timely and cost-effective delivery of high-quality Wind and PV projects across Italy, ensuring compliance with QHSE, local, and industry standards. This role is based in Rome. Responsibilities Ensure on-schedule and on-budget delivery of quality Wind and PV projects, adhering to QHSE, local, and industry standards. Support the Contract Manager in contract negotiation for PV, Wind farms, and BESS facilities. Manage BoP, TSA, PV, and BESS contract execution, coordinating with Engineering, Procurement, Site Management, and liaising with financial, legal teams, and the project development organization. Oversee BOP, WTG/PV/BESS construction and commissioning activities onsite, in coordination with the QHSE manager, contractors, quality procedures, and lender’s technical advisors. Manage the transfer of assets at COD to the Asset Management department. Take responsibility for project performance and status reporting. Enforce compliance with local codes, requirements, and Health, Safety, and Environmental policies. Implement an efficient work process for the execution of projects, vendor and contractor evaluation, and qualification. Work closely with the engineering team to ensure a smooth transition from the engineering phase to the execution phase. Requirements Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related subject. Willingness to attend construction sites weekly (sometimes up to 4 days per week). At least 3 years of experience managing EPC for wind energy projects with rated power higher than 30 MW, and wind turbine generators with rated power higher than 3 MW. Experience in onsite supervision during the construction and commissioning of PV and wind projects. Ability to conduct technical reviews and analysis both onsite and as a back office function. Proven project management skills. Site management experience is a plus. Clear understanding of EPC contracts and multiple contracting scenarios from both legal and economic perspectives. Strong communication and conflict management skills. Effective resource management: Assigning and managing human and material resources efficiently, monitoring construction progress, and addressing issues in real-time. Results-oriented with strong time management and risk management skills. Experience with claims management. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project tools.
