As a Cloud Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and managing our cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Leveraging your expertise in various AWS services, you will ensure the reliability, security, and efficiency of our cloud environment. Your role will also involve optimizing costs and ensuring best practices in cloud operations. You will manage a complex cloud environment that includes a Data Lake, Sales Workplace, and other business-critical applications. Key Responsibilities: Deploy and manage scalable, secure and highly available cloud infrastructure on AWS according to VGI regulations and policies. Manage and coordinate external suppliers to ensure they implement and maintain our cloud infrastructure following VGI policies, regulations, and standards. Manage AWS services including API Gateway, EKS Clusters, AWS Batch, Step Functions, Glue, DocumentDB, CloudWatch, SQS, SNS, EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, Route 53, Cognito, CloudFront, Lambda, ALB, NLB, VPC, Network Firewall and WAF. Automation and CI/CD: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines along with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation. Automate routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention. Cost Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs, ensuring efficient use of resources. Implement cost-saving measures and strategies to maximize budget efficiency. Security and Compliance: Ensure compliance with security best practices, VGI regulations and industry standards. Perform maintenance activities on infrastructure components, checking for obsolescence and periodically applying security patches or upgrades to various systems and services. Troubleshooting and Support: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure and services. Collaborate with development teams to ensure efficient integration of cloud solutions into applications. Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Proven experience as an AWS Cloud Specialist or similar role with in-depth knowledge of main AWS services and cloud infrastructure, especially managed services. Understanding of cloud cost optimization strategies (FinOps). Strong experience with DevOps and CI/CD principles and technologies, such as GitLab and CloudFormation. Skills: Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes. Knowledge and experience with Change Management and Operation processes (CloudOps). Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation. Familiarity with other cloud providers like Azure and GCP is a plus. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing requirements. Certifications: AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) will be highly appreciated.
