Job Purpose:
The role will support the Regional EHS Director in constructing new facilities and developing existing ones.
A strategic, driven, and experienced Health and Safety (H&S) professional is required to ensure a consistent H&S approach across construction projects.
A team player with ambition to grow, capable of creating conditions for organizations and people to deliver and realize their potential.
Representing STACK Infrastructure and being the voice of H&S Management on construction projects, you will be responsible for fully discharging relevant legislative requirements.
To ensure success, you will work closely with STACK Construction delivery teams and the EHS Director, Construction, delivering H&S while enriching the wellbeing of all stakeholders and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Represent STACK Infrastructure on assigned construction projects in the EMEA region.
* Lead, inspire, and enable STACK Infrastructure projects in the region, promoting a psychologically and physically safe environment.
* Monitor, observe, and support General Contractors to deliver H&S excellence.
* Maintain project HSE Legal Registers.
* Provide guidance and leadership for incident management, conducting Root Cause Analysis investigations to ensure client expectations are met.
* Escalate where required, provide briefings to STACK Infrastructure senior management, and offer recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
* Contribute to continual improvement of our management systems and maintain compliance.
* Align with the Regional H&S plan for continued improvement in the region.
* Facilitate and promote project leadership H&S Steering committees.
* Attend mandatory meetings, provide actions, and close out as necessary.
* Implement a schedule of inspections/audit requirements and benchmark each project for continued improvement.
* Provide analysis of project leading and lagging H&S data, promoting initiative opportunities for further improvement.
* Accurately report H&S performance and liaise with external stakeholders.
* Work closely with STACK Infrastructure EMEA Environmental & Social Governance (ESG) to drive initiatives.
* Present project H&S performance data to clients at scheduled meetings.
* Capture and encourage H&S learning/innovations/initiatives to promote excellence across the STACK Infrastructure portfolio.
Strong presence on the construction site is required.
Practicalities/Skills/Knowledge/Experience and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, or surveying (Geometra).
* In-country knowledge of H&S legislative requirements.
* Preferred candidates have CSP/CSE certification.
