Lead Process Engineer with expertise in power /chemical plant design and team management to support our sustainable energy projects.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industrial, power or chemical plant design principles, particularly in the area of heat & mass balance, thermodynamic and heat exchanger calculation to conceptualize, model, and optimize process calculation for Proposals, Basic Engineering Design up to Detail Engineering Design. Team leading and management and project scheduling are a must.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of 4 process engineers, reporting to the VP Product Engineering
Coordinate process engineering activities including process simulation, heat exchanger thermal calculation, control valves and pumps DS definition, process design and safety review (Hazid, Hazop, FMEA, SIL etc.) from conceptual to detailed design ensuring compliance with quality standards, project technical specification and project schedule.
Coordinate development of PFDs, P&IDs drawings and CO2 battery control narratives
Provide technical guidance and support in resolving process design issues
Conduct one to one meetings on a regular basis to address team members concerns, potentials and career paths
Take actions for constant improvement understanding process engineering issues root cause and making plans to avoid them repeating again
Develop, check and approve project documents related to process discipline
Understand and address priorities with respect of product roadmap, business and security needing supporting project management and purchasing department during project execution to match project deliverables, budget and time schedule
Support the commissioning manager during plant commissioning, start up and performance test phases
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Chemical or Energy Engineering or related field
Experience in team management and project fulfilment execution experience
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts effectively
Goal-driven mindset, ambition
Planning & organizing ability
Language:
Fluency in professional English and Italian
Willingness to travel in Italy and abroad (30% per year).
