Main Duties & Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Supply Chain Specialist ensures the lean and efficient management of the supply chain area, specifically the correct procurement of materials and stock management, the production planning and the shipment of finished products, collaborating with the sales office and customer care.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Actively participating in morning production meetings; tasks and priorities management.
2. Production planning, according to planned and non-planned maintenance and quality non-conformities (ERP Approach).
3. Raw materials supply management according to production planning and development of medium/long-term supplying plans (MRP).
4. Monthly reporting, monitoring, and updating Supply chain KPIs (OTIF metric).
5. Actively collaborating with TriMas central supply chain roles regarding transport offers (BID).
6. Being front-end with suppliers when there are quality issues/claims or delays in the delivery of the raw materials.
7. Collaborate with Customer Care to improve delivery to Customers (customer delivery excellence).
8. Updating of the MES calendar.
9. Back-up for logistic admin.
10. Monitoring by quarter of the stockpiles of raw materials, WIP, and finished product, according to Working capital KPI.
11. Evaluation of the supplier based on internal certification policies (e.g., Standard BRC) and EHS legislation.
Qualifications
1. Degree in Management Engineering.
2. 2-3 years of experience in the supply chain area, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
3. Good organization and coordination skills, with the aim of effectively managing production meetings and a good method of prioritization of activities.
4. Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems to monitor the advancement of production and manage the supply of raw materials.
5. Good communication skills to maintain communication with suppliers, customers, internal departments, and external partners.
6. Proven problem-solving skills to manage problems linked to quality, supplier issues, customer claims, and other challenges of the supply chain.
7. Basic knowledge of the MES (Manufacturing Execution System), to execute basic operations like updating the calendar and familiarity with OTIF metric to monitor performance.
