Job Posting Title IT Security Specialist The challenge At Haier Europe we are seeking an experienced and vigilant cybersecurity specialist who can proactively partner with key stakeholders in order to design and implement a framework that will protect both our Company and our product range. As the Cybersecurity Specialist you will support the business in protecting the digital assets, data confidentiality of internal users and external consumers, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity regulations, and collaborate in building a robust security infrastructure in compliance with local legislations to prevent potential threats. What you will do Activities and Responsibilities: Collaborate in the development and implementation of the company’s information security strategy. Take the lead in day-to-day monitoring for unusual activities, implement defensive protocols, and report incidents. Maintain documentation of security guidelines, procedures, standards, and controls. Support in identifying and mitigating security risks, ensuring the organization remains resilient against emerging threats. Collaborate with the other team in order to improve the company’s compliance with industry standards and regulations. Support security audits, compliance assessments, incident response processes, and investigating security breaches. Work with cross-functional teams to integrate security measures into the company’s IT and business operations. Maintain a security program that includes cyber defense, data protection, and security operations. Support in the risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and work with the team in prioritization of remediation efforts to reduce risk exposure. Oversee security incident detection, response, and recovery, ensuring swift mitigation of potential breaches. Support in managing the security architecture, tools, and technologies deployed across the organization's IT infrastructure. Monitor security metrics and report on the organization's security posture to executive leadership. Support in the definition of the security awareness training programs for employees to promote a culture of cybersecurity across the organization. Stay updated on cybersecurity trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance security measures proactively. What you need to succeed Required skills and qualifications Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in information systems, information technology, or related field. At least five years of experience in cybersecurity at a midsize or large company in our industry. Knowledge of information security principles, cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and risk management practices. Proven experience of security auditing, vulnerability assessments, and risk mitigation. Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, SIEMs, and encryption protocols. Critical thinking, problem-solving, logic, and forensics. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. English proficiency. Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, legal, and compliance teams.
