Our company
Renishaw SpA is the subsidiary of the Renishaw group that markets and supports all Renishaw products in Italy. Following a growth of its operations in the Additive Manufacturing sector, we are looking for a new experienced teammate to join us as an Additive Manufacturing Service Engineer, based at our site in Pianezza, Italy.
The role
The position requires to provide a high standard of service and support to every Renishaw AM machine customer, enabling them to maximise the expected benefits from their investment in a Renishaw product. This opportunity would ideally suit someone with servicing experience within Machines Tools, Printer industries or other industries where electro-mechanical engineering support is required.
Main responsibilities
1. Installation and commissioning of AM systems
2. Providing training for customer AM machine operators
3. Service and support for the Renishaw AM product line: this will include maintenance of and upgrades to electromechanical, and/or machine software and optical assemblies
4. Regular travel in Italy and some travel abroad
Key requirements
1. Engineering background, preferably with experience in machinery service and maintenance
2. At least 2 years of experience in field service, in a similar role
3. Fluent Italian and English (spoken and written)
4. Good written and verbal communication skills
5. Customer-oriented attitude
6. Commercial awareness
7. Methodical and systematic approach to problem solving
8. Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills
9. IT literacy
10. Category B driving license
Desirable requirements
1. A practical understanding of metal AM laser systems and electrical equipment
2. Knowledge of machine software systems – PLCs, HMI and particularly user software
