Specifically, as DHL Global Forwarding, we handle International Shipments, primarily conducted by Ocean and Air for both Import and Export.
We are currently looking for a Station Manager to join our Team at our Rome Branch:
Key Tasks
* Define station operations/customer service strategy in line with business strategy and objectives, corporate guidelines and policies.
* Ensure development and implementation of complex projects, initiatives and partnerships for the station.
* Plan and ensure daily logistics operations to deliver agreed customer, service, quality and financial objectives.
* Develop operating budgets and proposals for new investments, and track progress of ongoing operational investments.
* Ensure implementation of systems to provide adequate human resources, materials and logistics infrastructure to deliver logistics services.
* Adjust operational capacities to changes/growth in business volumes and operational requirements to profitably deliver logistics services.
* Participate in identifying new opportunities, retaining and expanding customer base, and support business development through preparation and review of business cases.
* Encourage prompt response and support to revenue generating functions such as sales and customer service to maximize business and revenue opportunities.
* Define and ensure execution of operating processes, site infrastructure, equipment, IT systems, operating structure, etc. to deliver targeted capacities.
* Monitor compliance with company/local statutory obligations and legislation related to safety, health, security environment & quality.
* Develop, communicate and enhance awareness of policies for safety of people, data and goods.
* Recognize opportunities and introduce best practices focusing on delivering continuous improvement and enhanced productivity.
Qualifications & Key Requirements
* Extensive knowledge of AFR/OFR Export/Import Operations/CS.
* Excellent analytical skills and sales attitude.
* Strategic vision, Forwarding business acumen, results driven and attention to details.
* Proficient in performance target settlement and evaluation.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong problem solving attitude.
* Excellent people management skills, leadership and motivation.
* Ability to take ownership and drive station solutions independently.
* Capability to recognize threats and opportunities introducing best practices focusing on delivering continuous improvement and enhanced productivity.
* More than 6 years experience level.
