RINA is currently recruiting for a Italy Certification Large Account Project Manager to join its office in Genoa or Milan, Italy within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.
Mission
The Project Manager is responsible and accountable for executing and leading projects, ensuring completion of deliverables within the defined deadlines, scope, and budget. The Project Manager stands at the center of a complex set of relationships among the client, RINA, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors who deliver the elements of the project. The skill of balancing the demands and expectations of these groups lies at the heart of a successful project. The Project Manager is accountable for obtaining and managing adequate resources to meet all project objectives in the most efficient and effective manner.
Key Accountabilities
* Project Management:
- Develop detailed project plans, defining objectives, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Create and maintain project schedules to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.
* Client Interaction:
- Act as the main point of contact between our firm and clients, understanding their needs and providing regular updates on project progress.
- Ensure clear communication channels to manage client expectations effectively.
* Team Management:
- Build and lead a high-performing project team, assigning tasks based on individual strengths and motivating team members to achieve project goals.
- Monitor team performance and provide necessary support and guidance.
* Budget Management:
- Develop and oversee project budgets, tracking expenses and financial performance to ensure projects are delivered within budget constraints.
- Implement cost-effective solutions to optimize project resources.
* Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Address issues proactively to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Quality Assurance:
- Uphold quality standards and client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Implement and enforce quality control processes to maintain project integrity.
* Contract Management:
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, managing contractual obligations effectively.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure successful contract outcomes.
* Communication:
- Facilitate open communication among team members, clients, and stakeholders, coordinating regular project meetings to discuss progress and resolve challenges.
- Document all communication and decisions to maintain project transparency.
* Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, ensuring information is easily accessible to all project stakeholders.
- Organize and archive project files systematically for future reference.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Management Engineering or Economics
Master’s Degree in Other
Qualifications
* 3-5 years of proven experience in managing project teams of moderate size and complexity, demonstrating a successful track record in delivering projects on time, within budget, and according to scope requirements.
* Familiarity with various project management methodologies and tools, enabling efficient project planning and execution.
* Strong engineering knowledge with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical experts, ensuring accurate implementation of engineering concepts into project plans.
* Experience in team management, including assembling and leading diverse project teams, assigning tasks based on skills, and motivating team members to achieve project objectives.
* Proficiency in project management tools and software, complemented by familiarity with engineering software applications.
