In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and enjoy a variety of responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesLead the execution of Safety Certification for the rail transit system through opening to revenue service, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, company guidelines, and applicable standards.Coordinate with prime contractor and subcontractor/vendor RAMS teams.Produce Hazard Analysis and Safety Requirements Verification Checklists.Verify and sign off on design, installation, and commissioning of safety-related system requirements, including Train Control, Passenger Vehicles, Service Vehicles, Traction Electrification, Communications, UPS, Platform Screen Gates, and Fire Detection.Support the Engineering team in finalizing interface designs to ensure maximum availability and safety in compliance with System Safety Standards.Assist the Commissioning Manager in identifying and prioritizing activities to guarantee minimum safety levels throughout various commissioning phases.Interface with local safety authorities to secure approvals for various revenue service phases.Perform safety and VV governance activities at the system level, coordinating subsystem RAMS referents for each involved technology.Contribute to delivering systems and subsystems within project schedules and budgets.Execute safety activities during project bidding and delivery phases, including:Preliminary safety analyses and early feedback to project teams during initial phases.Attendance at design reviews with suppliers and safety field tests.Ensure the development of Safety Cases and project safety documentation at both system and subsystem levels in collaboration with safety functions, Engineering, Operations Maintenance, and external suppliers.Ensure subsystem suppliers receive clear safety requirements, minimizing delays in subsystem safety analysis and VV evidence submissions.Define actions required for non-compliance with safety requirements.Initiate and participate in audits of subsystem safety management organizations.Enhance and implement System Safety Standard processes.Provide technical support for managing and interfacing with Independent Safety Assessors, employers, and external authorities.Monitor schedule and cost progress related to safety activities.Ensure provision of safety requirements and Hazard Logs to relevant Product and Signaling Safety Engineers.Report to the Project RAMS Manager or Project Manager on status, deadlines, schedules, and budgets.Qualifications and Professional ExperienceEngineering or business degree.Minimum 5 years experience for CENELEC Standards, Verification, Validation, RAM and Safety analyses.Experience in railway, an asset.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, mandatory.Demonstrate strong communication and leadership skills.Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.Be results-oriented and show ability to deliver milestones on-time.Fluent in English mandatory.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEngineering and Information TechnologyIndustriesRailroad Equipment Manufacturing and Rail Transportation
