Who we are looking for
Purpose
To support and enhance records management and preservation services within the R&D context, Chiesi is seeking a Records Management Associate. Reporting to the Head of R&D Long-Term Archiving & Preservation and collaborating with all internal R&D functions, the Records Management Associate will play a key role in the launch of a strategic project aimed at enhancing R&D long-term archiving and preservation processes (both paper-based/physical and digital) across the organization.
The successful candidate:
• will participate in the go-live of a pivotal project with a global organizational impact;
• will collaborate with Records/Data Owners (both external and internal) under the guidance of the Data Curator/Head of Long-Term Archiving & Preservation to ensure the proper description and management of records designated for long-term archiving and preservation, with a primary focus on R&D.
Main Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with established data curation standards and integrate best practices across R&D archives
• Control and management of metadata sets required for long-term archiving and preservation workflows
• Execution of operational procedures for ingestion, research, retrieval, temporary transfers, and/or deletion, in accordance with Appraisal Plan and Retention Rules
• Apply and mainten data curation standards and best practices defined for R&D archives
• Collaborate with departments’ archivists and records/data owners to ensure adherence to policies, guidelines, and standard operating procedures, with the support of working instructions
Experience Required
Master’s degree in Archival Science/related field OR experience in records management and/or long-term archiving/preservation in pharma asset management
Languages
• Italian
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Technical Skills
Knowledge (beneficial but not required) of records management and preservation key concepts, including: archival description standards (ISAD/ISAAR/RiC-CM) and related ontology (RiC-O); ISO standards related to records management and digital preservation (ISO 15489, ISO 23081, ISO 14721-OAIS); GDPR
