Project Description
The main mission of the Engineering Technician is dealing with different aspects of testing related to the ultrasonic systems. Responsible for executing test scenarios, collecting data, calibrating the system to customer specifications, performing necessary retrofits, creating and troubleshooting test set-ups. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for maintaining the functional lab area in accordance with Tier1's guidelines and policies.
Responsibilities
1. Assist in scheduling and organizing testing.
2. Assist in tuning and calibrating P4U System.
3. Collect, record, compile and analyze test data.
4. Use Vector CAN Tools to complete tests.
5. Travel and work directly with OEM.
6. Run tests, solve any issues that may occur during testing.
7. Provide training as needed.
8. Build/Repair wire harnesses as needed.
9. Build/Repair test loads as needed.
10. Build test/engineering set-ups (benches).
11. Perform mechanical and electrical testing on automotive products as directed and following established specifications.
12. Communicate between Tier1 and OEM engineers.
13. Communicate with different teams involved in testing and reporting.
14. Maintain the planning of tasks and deliveries.
15. Select the most appropriate suppliers for the different tasks.
16. Apply 5S.
Skills
Must have:
1. 3-5 years of experience in automotive performing testing, data collection, wiring, test set ups.
2. Experience in vehicle testing.
3. Vector CAN tools.
4. Experience in automotive system testing projects.
5. Driver license.
6. Technical Bachelor Degree.
7. Have HW experience and be able to build/repair harnesses, test loads, soldering.
