Why should you join:
As part of the manufacturing plant team, the Plant Controller role provides financial support to improve profitability, works with the plant & regional management team to ensure proper controls are in place for continuous productivity improvements and drives efforts for elimination of waste. In addition to helping improve operational performance, the role will be responsible for forecasting/budgeting results, reporting actuals, variance analysis and financial controls. The role reports directly to the Senior Manager of Finance Operations with a strong dotted line to the plant manager.
* Provide premier business partnership with local & regional management.
* Manage a small team (1 Direct Report), feel responsible to organize the team tasks and to develop the team member
* Drive improvement of financial and operational performance: preparation of financial forecast/budget reporting, track financial performance, foster improvements proactively
* Responsible for all plant reporting, financial and non-financial:
o Annual Budget and monthly forecasting
o Month end close process ownership and report out
o Balance sheet accruals and corresponding monthly account reconciliations
o Productivity and other improvement project adherence and results
o Capital spend requests creation, submission and detailed explanation
o Productivity, staffing plans, payroll transaction analysis and temp labor control
o Other ad-hoc reporting as needed for internal & external customers
* Ensure strong internal control environment is maintained and ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures for all aspects of the manufacturing site
* Lead communication and support of any internal or external audit visits to the manufacturing site
What your background should look like:
* Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
* Minimum four years’ experience working with a manufacturing plant
* Must be able to demonstrate understanding and ownership of initiatives for improvement in process controls and procedures
* Must be highly organized and be able to work on multiple projects that will vary widely in scope, size, and type
* Ability to deal with, and effectively navigate an ever-changing environment with a matrix reporting structure
* Experience in supporting or regular interaction with various management levels
