AIRBNB SENIOR PROGRAM MANAGER FOR MILANO CORTINA
Key Activities:
* Empower & Educate Hosts – Develop and execute the Airbnb Host Education Strategy, including monthly webinars, targeted email campaigns, and engaging weekly content for Airbnb’s local online communities (Host Clubs).
* Drive Community Growth & Engagement – Manage the relationship with the Milano Cortina host community, crafting strategies to drive growth, engagement, and business impact.
* Be the Voice of the Community – Gather insights from hosts, transforming their feedback into valuable recommendations for Airbnb’s internal teams to enhance the overall host experience.
* Lead Airbnb Events & Local Initiatives – Organize and lead Airbnb-hosted events, while also supporting hosts in creating local, host-led events in key Winter Games locations
* Recognize & Celebrate Hosts – Design and execute exciting host recognition initiatives, including:
Olympic torch relay events, contest and ceremony to honor Italy’s top hosts (Host Spotlight, Milano Cortina ticket lottery and gamification initiatives.
6. Collaborate & Represent Italy’s Community Team – Work cross-functionally in global meetings, representing the Italian community team, sharing progress, KPIs, and key challenges to enhance Airbnb’s strategy.
Main results expected:
* Educate & Support Hosts – Prepare hosts in the Milano Cortina Olympic area to deliver top-tier hospitality.
* Grow & Engage the Community – Strengthen and expand the local host network.
* Organize Local Events – Create meaningful connections through on-the-ground activations.
* Boost Engagement & Recognition – Launch rewarding initiatives and the Host Spotlight Contest, celebrating Italy’s top hosts.
* Execute the Milano Cortina Strategy – Lead the end-to-end community plan for lasting impact.
Requirements:
6+ years of experience in community management or project management
Proven ability to manage cross-functional projects from concept to execution.
Ability to execute large-scale initiatives.
Experience in event planning and content creation.
Passionate about community building with a proven track record in engagement strategies
Exceptional communication & influencing skills, both written and verbal
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (Communication, Economics, Tourism).
Strategic & analytical mindset, resourceful, and goal-oriented.
Strong empathy for the host community—a great listener, patient, approachable, and flexible.
Fast learner & problem solver, able to adapt quickly in dynamic environments.
Tech-savvy, comfortable with Google Suite and social media (Facebook)
Fluent in Italian (native) and English (C1 level)
Being an Airbnb Host or highly familiar with the Airbnb platform and ecosystem would be a plus.
