DESCRIPTION
In Amazon, we love to "build". The concept of responsibility drives everything we do, from the technologies we create to the new activities we launch and develop in the market. You will find this spirit in every team within our company.
Every day, we develop ideas, services, and products that make life easier for tens of millions of customers worldwide. From providing the widest selection of products to developing innovative software and devices that change entire industries, Amazon is a place of invention and constant progress. With every order placed and every package delivered, customer demand on Amazon grows exponentially. To meet this demand and maintain our exceptional level of service seamlessly, our Operations team is expanding across Europe in a wide range of areas that require diverse skills and experiences.
Flexibility is crucial: we expect you to adapt quickly to changes, and we encourage you to try new things and develop your career along different paths. It is only by proposing new ideas and challenging the status quo that we can continue to be the most customer-oriented company on Earth.
We believe this makes Amazon a great starting point to begin your career through an Apprenticeship program. If you have a passion for learning, we will provide you with the experience and support to express your potential and offer you exciting opportunities for your future career. You must be ambitious, relish challenges, and be ready to seize the opportunities presented to you. Professionalism, determination, and teamwork will be essential for your success.
At Amazon, we have designed an apprenticeship program because we firmly believe in working as a company to train our future generation of maintenance professionals. If you have a passion for maintenance and mechatronics, this is the program you are looking for. Through this program, you will be trained to acquire theoretical and practical knowledge, applying it in real work alongside a team of specialists and engineers directly in our logistics centers.
The Engineering and Maintenance team you will join offers top-level service: preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment and maintenance and repair activities within the building. The team's work is essential for the site and is directly responsible for timely delivery of products to our customers.
In compliance with Amazon's health and safety guidelines, the team is responsible for:
* Installation, maintenance (preventive and corrective), and support on all site equipment and infrastructure,
* Knowledge of all systems (electrical, mechanical, electronic, robotic, etc.) present on site,
* Welcoming and managing external suppliers visiting the site,
* Sharing and transmitting knowledge within the team,
* Maximizing equipment and infrastructure availability through continuous improvement and preventive maintenance,
* Constantly seeking better efficiency,
* Cost reduction,
* Testing and trials of all equipment for end users,
* Proactive inventory management: audits and checks aligned with standards and processes, including authorization for merchandise return (RMA),
* Supporting senior engineers,
* Reporting all activities, their duration, and the equipment used in a central database.
Our mission, through a detailed and gradual learning plan, will support you in developing solid technical and practical skills that will be crucial for your success in the professional world: organizational skills, planning and prioritization, adaptability, problem-solving, analysis, communication (including necessary basic English), presentation, and teamwork. Throughout the program, you will be accompanied by a buddy, an experienced technician who will guide you through the main tasks performed by the RME team during the first weeks of the program. After you have learned the site's safety rules and increased your technical knowledge, they will continue to guide you in your field training.
At the end of these years of apprenticeship, you will be fully trained and qualified to compete for a permanent role as a "Maintenance and Engineering Technician" within our teams and start your career.
Shift pattern: this role involves a non-traditional shift model, including nights and weekends.
This professional opportunity does not allow for remote work; the available locations for the apprenticeship are in: Piemonte, Lombardia, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Abruzzo, and Lazio.
