About the role As the Engineering Team Leader, you will lead the engineering team responsible for the configuration and integration of an innovative transportation system for the semiconductor industry. Based in Bologna, you will collaborate closely with R&D in Sweden to develop an in-depth understanding of our solutions, overseeing the deployment and operational success of this advanced technology at customer sites. In this senior role, you will take full ownership of the project execution, from planning and coordinating technical efforts to ensuring timely and successful system integration. With a customer-centric approach, you will work closely with stakeholders to manage project requirements and solve complex operational challenges in the field. Main responsibilities will include: Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team, ensuring high performance and collaboration Oversee the configuration, integration, and commissioning of transportation systems at customer sites Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery Act as the key point of contact for customers, understanding their operational needs and aligning technical solutions to meet these requirements Troubleshoot and resolve operational challenges, providing hands-on technical guidance to the team Collaborate with R&D teams to ensure system improvements and feature enhancements are effectively implemented Ensure all technical documentation is up-to-date and meets both internal and customer requirements Monitor system performance post-deployment, implementing solutions for ongoing improvement and reliability What you need to be successful Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, or equivalent), and at least 15 years of relevant professional work experience Strong experience in leading engineering teams and managing complex, large-scale industrial projects Proven track record in system integration, configuration, and commissioning in high-tech environments Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and resources effectively Strong customer orientation and ability to anticipate and address operational needs Solid understanding of automation technologies, material handling systems, and transportation systems in industrial settings Fluency in the English language, both written and spoken High availability to travel Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving Hands-on attitude with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with teams J-18808-Ljbffr
