About the Company:
A leading European biomethane producer and project developer is expanding its presence in Italy and seeking an experienced Construction Site Manager to oversee the construction of a new biomethane facility near Ferrara. With a track record of developing over 40 biogas projects across Europe, including the continent’s first biomethane plant in 2006, this company is at the forefront of the energy transition.
Their ambitious 130 MW+ project portfolio and pipeline exceeding 2 TWh of annual biomethane production position them as a key player in the renewable energy sector. Now, they need a highly skilled site manager to ensure seamless project execution, quality control, and compliance with regulations.
The Role:
As the Construction Site Manager, you will take charge of on-site operations, ensuring smooth execution, compliance with designs, and adherence to project timelines. This is a dynamic, hands-on role that requires daily on-site presence and coordination with multiple stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all site construction activities, ensuring work is executed according to specifications and quality standards.
Coordinate closely with local authorities, project managers, contractors, suppliers, and HSE teams .
Manage local service providers (security, cleaning, control, etc.) and enforce site rules.
Track project milestones and progress, manage schedule deviations, and provide timely reports.
Work with the back-office team on financial and commercial monitoring.
Maintain accurate record-keeping and documentation for future reference.
What We’re Looking For:
Technical training (surveyor, industrial expert, engineer, or similar).
5+ years of experience in construction and project management on large infrastructure projects.
Background in biogas/biomethane plant construction is highly desirable.
Fluent in Italian & proficient in English .
Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment .
Autonomous, results-driven, and resilient under pressure .
Willing to temporarily relocate near the site (~20 km east/southeast of Ferrara) with daily on-site presence required.
Open to freelance or temporary contracts for the project duration ( until summer 2026 ), with the potential for future opportunities in Northern Italy .
