The People & Organisation (P&O) Lead Business Partner supports the Italian Logistics Business and works in close partnership with the senior leadership team to develop and execute the local and overall HR strategy and roadmap supporting the growth and health of the organization in Zalando. The P&O Lead Business Partner will also lead Zalando-wide projects and support implementations and processes. Furthermore, building an organization and culture that facilitates long-term business scale through the acquisition, development, and retention of talent and the use/adoption of technologies in the delivery of our service is essential. Therefore, a good knowledge in payroll topics, employee’s life cycle management, and local labour law are key skills. The P&O Lead Business Partner will manage and oversee an HR team of currently one P&O Business Partner.
You will partner with the site management and various business stakeholders to achieve business objectives and lead your team towards meeting their targets and ensure the successful processing of local and overall HR tasks. You will be working in close collaboration with the Headquarter and matrix teams to provide HR support and deliver high-class people services.
You will be responsible for collaboration with the appointed third-party logistics providers to make sure Zalando standards are implemented and fulfilled throughout the logistics network and that service providers are performing according to the agreed SLAs and KPIs via reporting, action tracking, and auditing processes.
The role will report to the Head of P&O International Logistics.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic alignment, influencing & steering with senior stakeholders.
2. Continuous improvement of HR related processes and leading projects locally and across Zalando.
3. Lead a team that includes a dedicated P&O Business Partner.
4. Work together with external service providers, as well as exchanging and coordinating with our central HR team in Berlin, our logistics partners on-site and our legal department regarding any employment law-related questions.
5. Proactively initiate and lead HR projects working cross-functionally to leverage resources & best practices to foster a business culture which champions our values and continues to improve the level of diversity and inclusivity.
6. Work closely with the business leaders, as well as central HR Management in our Headquarter to support relevant HR topics and drive improvements.
7. Monitor HR KPIs and work with data to support data-driven decision-making and action-taking.
8. Have a strong business and HR acumen, providing a solid knowledge in payroll related topics including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and willingness to be vocally self-critical.
9. You constantly question the status quo, identify opportunities for innovation, and you proactively drive forward relevant initiatives. Together with your team you oversee the strategic HR projects in HR in alignment with the senior leadership team and the Head of HR.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
1. Relevant business partner experience (at least 7 years) including a proven track record of leading a team, managing cross-functional sites in different geographies, coaching of leaders and working in a supply chain environment.
2. Experience in a dynamic environment, fast-growing organizations and international context.
3. Proven experience working with and managing service providers as well as experience in a Logistics and/or other production/non-overhead environment are of a significant advantage.
4. Strong capabilities in the fields of employment legislation, personnel management and payroll, a reliable way of working, also with distinctive hands-on mentality, enthusiasm and assertiveness.
5. Data-driven approach with strong analytics and the ability to create the right people metrics and implement solutions to drive positive change.
6. Excellent stakeholder management skills and a strong consulting approach, to partner closely with the business.
7. Business fluent in Italian and English (German is a plus) and proficient with MS Office, Google Suite and Workday.
