About the Role – We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager in Italy with a passion for success to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the transportation industry, with a focus on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). Start of activity: immediately (full time / permanent position)
Responsibilities
* Build and maintain a solid pipeline of forwarding companies and execute sales plans
* Identify the business needs and sales opportunities of your customers and follow up constantly
* Develop strong data insights to understand and steer account performance
* Generate unique value for our customers by developing the right solutions together with them
* Use your distinctive skills and willingness to close new business, maintain and expand existing business
* Support our partnership management team in order to optimise the cooperation with software providers for integrated solutions
* Analyse the market trends and new technologies to identify important impulses for the development of our platform
Required Skills
* You speak fluent Italian and English
* You have at least 3-5 years of professional experience, ideally in a similar role in logistics/transportation or software/IT solutions
* You have experience in working with large and medium-sized multinational company structures across all levels of management
* You like to hunt for new business opportunities (approx. 70%)
* You enjoy building networks and working in a team and with the customer to mutually achieve success
* You have good presentation and communication skills with a focus on value selling
* You are willing to travel across your assigned area of sales (approx. 50-60% of the job)
