Job Description for Head Bartender at Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Bartender to join our team at Conrad Chia Laguna Sardinia. As a key member of our Food and Beverage department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional beverage service to our guests.
The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of wines, spirits, and mixed drinks, including their origin, taste, and preparation methods. You will also be skilled in maintaining a working knowledge of liquors, wines, beers, ports, armagnacs, eau de vies, cognacs, and specialty drinks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Recommend and advise guests on wine and spirit options.
2. Pour, mix, and blend drinks to the highest standard.
3. Cash up accurately at the end of each shift.
4. Serve drinks to guests and support the Food and Cocktail Servers.
5. Supervise the bar service to ensure high-quality, efficient beverage service that meets licensing regulations.
6. Communicate effectively with the kitchen and guests to create a smooth and memorable experience.
7. Deliver a five-star luxury lifestyle service experience.
8. Maintain a thorough knowledge of our menu and products.
9. Lead the Bar team on day-to-day duties and support the F&B Management team with operational tasks.
10. Conduct regular training sessions on beverage pouring practice, cocktail mixing, and up-selling.
Work Experience:
1. Create an attractive atmosphere through exceptional service and ambiance.
2. Deliver beverages and meals to guests across Food & Beverage outlets.
3. Process purchases accurately and maintain stock control.
4. Prepare and close the bar area daily, including cleaning duties.
5. Be proactive and responsive to guest needs and restaurant management requests.
6. Control the bar during service, taking orders and issuing bills.
7. Coach new bartenders and bar backs, ensuring correct standards and methods of service.
8. Assist with weekly stock taking and maintain accurate records.
9. Responsible for managing all Bar operations to deliver exceptional guest experience.
Qualifications:
* A relevant degree in Business or Hospitality is preferred.
* You must meet the minimum age requirement to serve alcohol in line with local legislative requirements.
* A personal license is desirable.
* Strong spoken and written abilities in Italian and English are required.
* EU Citizenship is essential.
