Offer Description
The role of genetics in epilepsies is crucial today and is an investigation performed by clinical practice in pediatric patient populations suffering from severe epilepsy (DEE - Developmental and Epileptic Encephalopathies). This diagnostic opportunity can also be offered to adolescent or adult patients who were unable to receive adequate genetic testing during childhood. It is important to phenotypically characterize adult patients diagnosed with genetic epilepsies as the clinical and EEG features of the disease evolve with growth, and new phenotypes can characterize the disease picture in adulthood compared to childhood. This project aims to phenotype adult patients with a genetic diagnosis in the EEG spectrum.
