As a Senior Service Engineer for the installations of Nav-Com system for commercial vessels, you should be able to operate on board independently on the following standard activities: Installation of navigation and communication systems Start-up and calibration of the system Radio survey for GMDSS devices Technical support What we expect from the candidate: Install Nav-Com electronic items for commercial vessels Operate the set-up and the commissioning of the equipment installed Radio survey activity for GMDSS system Certification for system with SSAS and LRIT function Knowledge of systems such as: VHF, AIS, Iridium, SSA, Navtex, etc. Knowledge of SOLAS rules for Navigation and GMDSS systems Familiarity with the most common Wheelmark devices Experience with ECDIS paperless system Set up activities in and outside both in the office and lab Support colleagues and clients with technical and organizational knowledge Attend training courses from our supplier Attend technical update courses for clients and dealers Organize and manage all documents related to the vessel Stay up-to-date with new technologies in the market WHAT WE OFFER: Young, fun, and enthusiastic team Exciting challenge in the international maritime market Development opportunities The candidate will deal directly with the Service Coordinator. He could take part in business trips both in Italy and foreign countries for 80% of his work time, if necessary, which will be agreed in advance with the manager of the headquarters.
