Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join our cutting-edge RD team. The successful candidate will have extensive expertise in hardware design and development for electric motors (e-motors), battery packs, Battery Management Systems (BMS), inverters, DC-DC converters, and auxiliary systems. This role is pivotal in driving the development of reliable, high-performance hardware solutions for our advanced EV systems.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and validate hardware for e-motor control systems, battery packs, BMS, inverters, and DC-DC converters.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, firmware, and mechanical engineers, to ensure seamless system integration.
3. Conduct simulations, prototyping, and testing to optimize hardware performance and reliability.
4. Analyze and resolve hardware issues, ensuring robust and efficient designs.
5. Lead component selection and schematic/layout design in alignment with automotive standards.
6. Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and technologies in automotive hardware engineering.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in hardware design and development within the automotive or related industry.
3. Expertise in designing and optimizing power electronics hardware for e-motors, battery packs, and BMS.
4. In-depth knowledge of inverters, DC-DC converters, and auxiliary systems.
5. Proficiency in PCB design tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, or equivalent).
6. Familiarity with thermal and electromagnetic considerations in hardware design.
7. Experience with automotive standards and certification processes (e.g., ISO 26262, ISO 16750).
8. Strong understanding of communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
9. Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
10. Excellent written and spoken English skills.
