GEA Group's Bakery Business Unit (BU) is a segment within GEA Group, a global engineering company known for its advanced process technology and services across various industries. The Bakery BU focuses on providing equipment and solutions specifically tailored for the bakery sector, helping clients improve efficiency, product quality, and operational flexibility.
The GEA Comas plant, part of the GEA Bakery BU, specializes in the production of equipment for the bakery industry (means single machines or full production lines). GEA Comas is well known for its expertise in designing and manufacturing machinery for the production of a wide range of baked goods, including cakes, cookies, pastries, pizzas, and other confectionery items. Their product portfolio includes depositing and injection machines, enrobing lines, decorating equipment, and complete production lines, all designed to meet the high standards and specific requirements of bakery producers worldwide.
Project Management is fully integrated into the company as a transversal independent department depending directly on the CEO of the Bakery BU, thus granting flexible operativity of the single PMs interfacing directly with each department focusing on the best service to be given to our clients.
Roles And Responsibilities
1. Responsibility for the successful delivery of projects covering the technologies and applications portfolio of the Specialty Lines & Machines.
2. Continuous project monitoring to ensure that they are in line with company standards, adhering to budgets, and meeting deadlines.
3. Provide reporting to management and stakeholders.
4. Overall risk management to identify criticalities.
5. Track and drive deliverables and milestones of the projects.
6. Managing relationships with customers during the full life of the project.
Your Profile / Qualifications
1. University Degree in engineering or equivalent educational level.
2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in project management.
3. Deep application know-how, end-to-end process expertise.
4. Experience mainly in the relevant industry field (food / packaging bakery sector preferred).
5. Knowledge of project management methodology and tools.
6. Problem-solving management skills.
7. Ability to handle complex technical situations and challenges.
8. International environment exposure and experience.
9. Negotiation skills.
10. Good English level, both written and spoken.
11. Second language will be a plus for the selection.
12. Strong customer orientation and capability to face directly customers, especially in high-stress situations.
13. Understanding of the overall BU needs and targets beyond specific area of responsibility.
14. Good communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
