Responsibilities / Tasks
At GEA Imaforni we are seeking a highly motivated Service Engineer for bakery technologies. This position will provide strong technical support to our customers both at site and/or remotely/on-line. This position will also support the Service Team on service development.
The role is based in Verona, Italy and requires performing inspection visits and maintenance tasks at customer sites (worldwide) approximately 120-150 days per year (non-consecutive).
Your Tasks
1. Perform site troubleshooting and service audits - “Health checks”
2. Perform service maintenance, both planned and unplanned
3. Provide On-line and On-site assistance
4. Prepare and execute site visits/maintenance tasks at Customer sites
5. Prepare comprehensive service reports and support the preparation of service offers
6. Perform electrical and mechanical inspections, adjustments, repairs, and reporting to the Customer
7. Support the development of service business
8. Support GEA Region and Country service organizations by performing training on the job and remote training
Your Profile / Qualifications
Your Skills
1. Preferred background in electrical/automation, preferably in the bakery industry
2. Capability to understand customer needs/requests (internal/external customers) supporting the growth of service business
3. Ability to read and understand PLC codes
4. Software knowledge (setting devices such as Siemens, Rockwell)
5. Good communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills; able to communicate and deal professionally with both internal and external customers
6. Organized, analytical, and able to eliminate obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches
7. Independent, service-driven, and open-minded; works well in teams
8. Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership
9. Willingness to travel
10. Good knowledge of English (both spoken and written); knowledge of other languages is an advantage
