We are seeking a dedicated Software Engineer to join our diverse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, documenting, and analyzing software applications, focusing on RF system design.
Preferred location Faenza (Italy), as you will need to be in the office 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create new programs and subprograms and improve, modify, and correct existing software.
* Craft applications, write code, complete programming tasks, develop and perform testing and debugging routines, and detail work and results.
* Design and deliver system software based on specified platform requirements.
* Translate business requirements into functional requirements and manage the software development process using Agile methodology.
Expectations include understanding the technical ramifications of software changes on a product set that includes integrated hardware, firmware, and software solutions.
Participate in a project team of engineers involved in the development of software and embedded firmware products, designing, developing, and driving unit, integration, and non-regression tests.
Interact with testing organizations for defect resolution and test case development, troubleshoot issues arising from production or customer complaints.
Some travel to vendor and/or customer sites is required.
Requirements:
* A completed Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering with emphasis in telecommunication and wireless technologies and/or in Computer Science with experience in software design and development.
* Experience in programming languages: C/C++, Bash, Sqlite.
* Proven experience in SW developing for Linux user space driver, application for ARM, and debugging techniques using JTAG, kgdb, gdb.
* Board bring up, design, and implementation with multicore platforms and hyper-threaded CPU architectures like Intel Xeon, NXP SoC.
* Experience in multithreaded programming, socket programming, inter-process communication.
* Professional expertise of lab measuring devices e.g., Oscilloscope, Spectrum Analyzer, and Signal Generators.
* Fluent English.
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of RF principles and experience in the design of RF systems.
* Experience on DPDK, Dockers/Containers, Micro Services, Orchestration Platforms, SRIOV/Calico Plug-ins.
Estimated Salary: €80,000 - €120,000 per year
